A wedding day has a rhythm to it. Portraits, ceremonies, toasts… I know how to move through all of it. What I’m always watching for is what happens in the quiet spaces between. The way he looked at you before you saw him. The way your grandmother laughed. The way the room felt at 10pm when everyone had stopped trying.

I believe the photos that matter most are the ones you didn’t know were being taken. Not because the posed ones aren’t beautiful, they are, but because the in-between moments are where the truth lives. The way he looked at you before you saw him. The way your grandmother laughed. The way the room felt at 10pm when everyone had stopped trying.

Hailley shot our wedding last year in Big Sur and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We loved how keen she was to connect with us early on before the wedding so as to imbue a sense of personality exclusive to us in each photo. She cared very deeply about not just the artistic direction of the images but more importantly the emotions behind them, which she encapsulated through her stunningly original point of view. During the course of the wedding she captured so many moments with grace and purpose without forcing anything, though she also took amazing family photos which we did pose for. On top of being an amazing artist with a one-of-a-kind eye, she was honestly such a lovely person to be around and we feel so grateful to have had her be a part of our very personal celebration of love.

LOOK NO FURTHER - YOU HAVE FOUND THE PERFECT PHOTOGRAPHER! Let me start by saying that I am EXTREMELY uncomfortable in front of the camera, but I desperately wanted that beautiful, candid, editorial aesthetic for my wedding photos. Hailley and her team delivered, and then some. We could not be happier with our photos! The angles, the moments, the landscape - everything was captured so beautifully. She was also extremely professional and went above in beyond to capture the shots, help us stay on time, and put me completely at ease so that I could enjoy every moment of our special day. We did have to wait the full contracted time to receive our photos, but she did send us a ton of great previews to share with friends and family right after the wedding to hold us over AND she added 400 additional photos to what we agreed upon! The cherry on top is that she is the sweetest person on earth... I cannot recommend her enough!!

Hailley Howard is my family’s go-to for capturing special moments. Her photography style is unique, unmatched and creative. Her talent and passion reflects in all her work! Recently, on our last shoot, she was able to capture the true essence of my rambunctious 2 year old boy (that wouldn’t stop running) and the pictures were stunning even though he was a tough subject.
